Lynx dMRV (for AWD Rice)

Lynx is a digital MRV platform powered by satellite remote sensing and AI, that tracks AWDdrainage events in rice fields, reducing the burden of collecting manual farmer diary information and the associated costs.

Lynx’s patented technology individually tracks drainage events in each rice paddy field in a given project. Thus compliance and additionality can be digitally and objectively proven for each farmer and for each growing season. Lynx dMRV is currently in use in the Philippines and is being trialed for use on AWD rice projects in Viet Nam and Thailand.

[Lynx Traceability] for decarbonized rice allows commercial rice buyers to track avoided emissions within their supply chain, when they purchase sustainably farmed rice, enabling them to record Scope 3 emissions reductions against their targets. Our system provides farmers with the data needed to increase the ex-farm sale price of low-GHG rice, helping to drive the adoption of low-GHG farming techniques, and fostering environmental stewardship across the supply chain.

A patent has been obtained for technology to measure the water level in pits (patent application 2023-186182). We will continue to diligently develop and apply for other related technologies.
